Is there an easy way to launch task manager? I am lost without it and going thru help all the time is a pain.

right click your taskbar (at the bottom)... you'll see it.

Right click on the Task Bar and choose Task Manager.

Also, enter- taskmgr into the search bar in the start menu. It will find it... then right click it. You'll see options to Pin it to the start Menu or add it to Quick Launch.

I'll be darned. Of all the years I've used Windows, I've never see it there. I always used the 3 finger salute. It pays to read newgroups.

Give Vista the three finger salute and you get a screen with options. Open Task Manager from the Task Bar and you just get TM on the upper left of the screen. Just try it both ways. The behavior of the system is different according to how you call up TM. It is the same on XP.

With the TM open choose the Processes Tab right click on the taskmgr.exe icon choose Open File Location WE will open and taskmgr will be the bottom icon. Right click on the taskmgr icon choose Add To Quick Launch.
The Add To Quick Launch on the context menu was my doing as the result of a request I made in a private (MVP) chat with the shell team. Your input counts.
